Server setup and management

I’ve gained hands-on experience in server administration by setting up a web and database server to host REDCap for the Department of Neuroscience at Copenhagen University. From configuring the server to ensuring seamless database integration, this project strengthened my ability to manage complex systems and support research through secure, reliable web solutions.

This project deepened my understanding of configuring both Nginx and Apache web servers to handle HTML and PHP. I also learned how to establish secure connections between web and database servers, balancing performance and security. Through troubleshooting server setup challenges, I gained valuable insights into common pitfalls and best practices, enhancing my ability to create reliable, scalable web solutions.
